100 and the Title...?

I've been rather busy the last couple of days. As a result, the blog has lacked a certain orginality and flair, Im sure. I apologize.

Let's start off by mocking the Vancouver Canucks (while applauding the Mighty Ducks) for further crapping on their chances to make it to the play-offs last night. Ha-ha!

As for tonight, the Flames take on a very hot Ducks team. With a win, Calgary can break the 100 point barrier and claim their first division title in a decade. On the flip side, the Duck's have little to play for now that they have clinched a play-off berth. With the guys being relatively rested and back home, I expect the Flames to pull out a victory this evening.

Aiding them in this quest will be return of Rhett Warrener and Mike Leclerc. Im lukewarm on Leclerc, frankly, but it'll be a big boost to Calgary both on and off the ice to have Warrener back. It remains to be seen if he'll be reunited with Ference or slog it out with either Mush or (the suddenly impressive) Giordano by his side. Still injured are Leopold, Nilson and Kobasew (none of which will be returning before the play-offs, I'd wager).

*Keep an eye on - Kristian Huselius. He has been benched a couple of times recently. Hopefully he turns it around tonight and becomes the 4th Flame to break the 20 goal mark (Iginla, Langkow, Kobasew are the other 3).

Go Flames Go!
